Asian Social Movements
For the past several years, the group has been involved in a collaborative project on Social Movements in Asia. Activist, Researchers and Movement representatives from Indonesia, Philippines, China and India have been involved in this exercise. The Asian Social Movements process is to learn from and strengthen Asian linkages among movement constituencies to facilitate collaborative research and shared actions that would widen the awareness and appreciation for the role and issues that movements are bringing to the political debate in our societies. We are currently in the process of editing a book of case studies from these four countries. The book will be available in five regional languages.
